Refund Policy
Cleanedit.app
Effective date: 18 August 2026
1. Overview
All purchases on Cleanedit.app — including Pro subscriptions and in-app purchases — are processed by Paddle.com Market Limited ('Paddle'), which acts as the Merchant of Record for every transaction. This means Paddle is the seller of record, issues your receipt, and is responsible for handling and deciding refund requests in accordance with Paddle's own Refund Policy, available at paddle.com/legal. This Cleanedit.app Refund Policy explains how refunds work for our specific products and how the two policies fit together.
2. Your 14-day money-back guarantee
If you are a consumer, you have an unconditional right to a full refund within 14 days of your first payment for a Cleanedit.app purchase — whether a one-off in-app purchase or the first payment of a new Pro subscription — no reason needed. This mirrors the statutory withdrawal right consumers have under the EU Consumer Rights Directive.
We do not ask you to waive this right in exchange for immediate access. You get both: instant access to the App and a full 14 days to change your mind and get your money back, no questions asked.
3. Subscriptions
The first payment of a new Pro subscription is covered by the unconditional 14-day guarantee described above. For later renewals, a refund request made within 14 days of that renewal will be considered by Paddle on a case-by-case basis, taking into account factors such as how much of the subscription period you used. We generally support these requests being granted.
4. In-app purchases and consumable credits
One-off in-app purchases (such as consumable credits) are covered by the same 14-day guarantee if the credit is unused. If you've already used a credit, a refund may still be granted at our discretion, for example if it was purchased by accident or duplicated.
5. Automatic cancellation is not a refund
As explained in our Terms of Service, a Pro subscription is automatically cancelled if you do not save a second log on any day for 21 consecutive days, so that you are not charged again. This automatic cancellation prevents future charges — it does not refund charges already made before the 21-day period was reached. If you believe you were charged after your subscription should have auto-cancelled, contact us and we will investigate with Paddle.
6. How to request a refund
The fastest way to request a refund is through the link in your Paddle order confirmation or renewal email, or via Paddle's buyer support at paddle.com/help. You can also email us at jo@anythingproduct.nl and we will forward your request to Paddle and follow up on your behalf.
7. Situations where a refund may be declined
A refund may be declined where, for example:
- The request falls outside the applicable window described above and no exceptional circumstances apply.
- The account shows evidence of abuse of the free tier, refund process, or these Terms.
- The consumable credit or content has already been fully used.
Declining a discretionary refund request does not affect any statutory right you may have under EU or Dutch consumer law, or your right to contact your card issuer or the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
